Amerse 2 is a one-step germicidal detergent containing selected phenols blended with synthetic detergents and builders. Amerse 2 is suitable for disinfecting medical and dental instruments. Use-solutions (1:128) do not rust, stain, dull, or otherwise damage quality metal or glass instruments when used properly. This product is not suitable for use with plastics, rubber goods, and rigid and flexible fiber-optic endoscopes. Available in 1 quart bottle.
NOTE : This product is not to be used as a terminal sterilant/high-level disinfectant on any surface or instrument that (1) is introduced directly into the human body, either into or in contact with the blood stream or normally sterile areas of the body, or (2) contacts intact mucous membranes but which does not ordinarily penetrate the blood barrier or otherwise enter normally sterile areas of the body. These surfaces should be sterilized or high-level disinfected as appropriate in separate subsequent steps.
