While the Hydro Aspirator is a high vacuum type maintaining a 26-inch vacuum at 60 pounds of water pressure, we advise use of lower vacuum. A vacuum of 15 inches is adequate for use with the standard trocar, and all that is necessary to evacuate any body fluid or gases. The automatic vacuum breaker eliminates the possibility of back syphonage and its resultant of water contamination
